so i got behind on my photography class while i was in minnesota, and then got even more behind because of the whole move. so i did like 3 or 4 assignments a few days ago and now i want to show you my finished results.
for my first assignment i did that day was called "a day in the life of me"
i'm supposed to take pictures of what i do on a regular basis.
and also, i have to apply the rule of thirds.
and if i was going to explain that.... hmmm....
it's where you divide your picture into little squares ..
like this!....
and for my pictures i needed to offset my subject to the side (where the white lines are on the left and the right) like the picture above is showing as well.
these are not the most interesting pictures..i know but it was a little difficult with the move, i was going to take my pictures in illinois. the first one was going to be of the family watching a movie, and the the second one was going to be the family making a yummy dinner together and then the third one was going to be a picture of my boyfriend talking to me.
but since all i had at my "new home" was my sister, a tv, my new room thats ugly yellow color, and random appliances, it was kinda difficult.
so i chose me getting the water out of the fridge because i drink alot of water.
my subject is the pitcher of water in the fridge, it is off to the left.
the second picture i decided to take was my sister eating breakfast.
as you can see the subject is my sister and she is off to the side, and i used to rule of thirds to do this.
the last photo i took for this assignment is me and my sister sitting on the couch watching tv. jeez these pictures are stupid i'm sorry. :P
the subject of the photograph in the tv. it is offset to the left.
the next photos i took, the assignment was to take pictures of a family member or a friend where it's like a self portrait of them, and then i had to color correct it.
it's of my sister, Savanna.
the next assignment i had to do was called "on my street".
i had to go onto my street and i wasn't allowed to step off of it. i had to take my pictures of interesting things that were on my street. and then afterwards, i had to make the picture black and white, and they had to be correctly white to black.
this is what i came up with.
funny story about this dog....
she showed up at our house when we arrived home after a firework show that went on about 20 mins before we got home. she was whimpering and crying so we got her some water and my mom fed her some left overs that we had from the other night. my mom kept her outside, because we didn't know if she had fleas or something. but finally my mom let her in because she kept scratching on the door and we called her scratch for the past 3 days. my mom took her to the vet and got her scanned for a microchip, no chip... then she posted on an animal welfare site of st. croix and finally someone said that she knew some people who were missing a dog that looked just like her, and they stopped by and picked her up. were just glad she came to our house instead of wondering the streets or get hit by a car.
so i took a picture of scratch :)
there is a farm that lives down my street and they put this sign up. :P
my backyard is a mountain, how cool :)
hope you enjoyed this!
more pictures to come of st. croix.
sorry it's been slow on the photography, i've been really busy with school work.
follow me. :)
